Morning Classes

Monday 9.15-10.30am @ Denstone Village Hall 

In this session we begin by warming up the body and freeing the joints before moving into traditional Sun Salutations and then blend these with stronger,dynamic postures to build strength & flexibility.

Beginners

As with all of my classes, we explore the postures at a gentle pace. You will learn about allignment in the postures but also what feels right for your body. You will develop your flexibilty & strength  & as there is a huge focus on the breath, you will learn many breathing techniques to either give you energy or to take you deeper into a blissful state of relaxation. 

 

 

Evening Classes

Tuesday & Thursday 7-8pm @ St Mary's First School, Uttoxeter
Wednesday 6-7pm @ Denstone Village Hall

These sessions are more classical (Hatha) in style. We start by observing the breath and developing the yogic breath and often practice different pranayama techniques.

These classes will give to the time understand the postures, improve your flexibility and build strength within your body.

Flexibility and Strength are both important and here you will find a balance. You will have to time to relax deeper into postures/asanas using your breath.

"I started doing a private 1 to 1 yoga session with Debs to help with ongoing back pain I've suffered with for years. Within 6 months I've been able to stop taking my pain medication & I'm far stronger & able to cope with the physical aspects of my job. I didn't expect to enjoy yoga & had just dismissed it as 'Hippy Rubbish' but I can genuinely say I've fallen in love with it! I look forward to my weekly sessions not only to see improvement in my poses but also as a way to clear my busy brain! Deb is very patient & knowledgeable & our hour once a week goes far too fast!"

What to bring & wear

Bring a sticky yoga mat if you have one but don't worry as I have spares.

A blanket or shawl if you wish

Wear... anything you can move freely in and is not restrictive

We practice in bare feet and I really recommend wearing layers so can can cool down and warm up as you need to.

How to pay

All of my sessions are "drop-in" so simply pay when you turn up.

All sessions are currently £6

I do offer discounts if you attend more than one session.
